REMOVE Arnold Viersen - Conservative MP for Peace River - Westlock Albert
I believe Conservative MP Arnold Viersen's actions warrant his immediate removal as MP. His comments to Lauren Collins NDP MP for Victoria, BC were misogynist and demeaning and his dismissive remarks towards Marylène Lévesque, a young woman who was a sex worker was murdered by a parolee (out on a sex pass) is tone-deaf and repugnant. Whether insignificant trafficked sex worker or Educated Member of Parliament, MP Arnold Viersen's attitude towards women clearly shows he believes the voice of women in this country should be disregarded and that sex traffickers are somehow less worthy of our compassion and grief.
Comments made by MP Arnold Viersen:
Lauren Collins: "Sex workers are saying that sex work is work,"
Arnold Viersen: "I would respond to that by asking the honourable member across the way if it is an area of work that she has considered," said Viersen, trailing off as other MPs heckle him and one member yells "shame."
Lauren Collins: "Mr Speaker, I think this makes the point. I do not think any woman in this country chooses this job. This is something that they are trafficked into. This is something that we have to work hard to end in Canada."

Why is this important?
This is so very important because inaction shows MP Arnold Viersen's and his cronies that sexism and the objectification of women is acceptable and will be tolerated by the CPC. The disrespect he holds for these two women (and by extension, all woman) demands a swift and clear response of removal from office.
