Bring Basic Income Guarantee to Prince Edward Island

The concept of Basic Income Guarantee is a simplified way to end poverty.  There is no clawback or rules to bring Canadians out of poverty. Income tax will identify and top up each Canadian over 18 so they can make plans for education or part time work to fulfil their dreams and skills. Studies found that Emergency Rooms lessened wait times and health outcomes were better as poverty is the leading cause of illness. The rate of crime was lowered as was homelessness. As persons reached their potential through education or work experience, they move into high tax brackets and became tax payers for all Canadians. The project for PEI has been thoroughly studied and is ready to go.
Ask your MP and leader of all parties to support this venture to end poverty.

Why is this important?

When Saskatchewan brought Medicare in, there was strong opposition. Now we have a federal program and can’t imagine our life with an American system. In seven years, PEI will prove to Canadians that we all can succeed if we work together. It’s a small Island, so we can show Canada the way. Other projects have been stopped without study by hard core conservatives, leaving people high and dry and without any recourse. Send your voice to politicians that they must lead, follow or get out of the way. Bring BIG to PEI.
